INSTALLATION GUIDE
To quantify the amount of material needed for construction, we can have an example for 1m²
regular wall tiles will need:
- 25 Cobogós Elemento V ® (calculation for 20x20 cm pieces)
- 15 kg of mortar (AC3 type)
- 2Kg of grouting; *Minimum 8mm joint
- Block cleaning sponge
- Level
- rubber mallet
- Use the “line and plumb” method
- Dimensional variation of 6mm
DO NOT USE SPACEERS
Installation in 4 steps:
1- Check the floor level and place the first line:
- Check the ground level and wall verticality;
- Place the first cobogó in the corner of the panel;
- The volume of mortar must be sufficient for the
filling of the joint determined by the pagination of the cobogós.
2- Place the lines of blocks:
- Install a vertical and horizontal steel frame between each row of cobogó.
This facilitates the filling and distribution of mortar in the joints.
Elemento V cobogós allow TWO rows of steel due to the creases that the product has.
- Insert 5mm diameter bars into the vertical and horizontal laying joint, or
at the discretion of the person responsible for the work.
-Hit line and plumb to ensure perfect alignment.
Do this procedure on all rows of the cobogós wall.
3- Remove excess mortar:
- Let the mortar dry for an hour, so as not to harden too much;
- Remove excess mortar from the joints.
4- Spread the finish:
- Remove about 10mm in order to receive the finishing mortar joint;
- Allow to dry 24 hours before filling with finishing mortar;
- Spread the finishing mortar using a sponge trowel, let the mortar begin to set.
The use of inappropriate material causes cracks in the joints and detachment of both the
grouting and cobogó, compromising the aesthetics and watertightness of the built element.
Check that the pieces are covered with the mortar on all their faces.
Never erect all masonry in one phase. It is necessary to do it in TWO or more phases so that the mortar
of the already settled cobogós becomes more resistant after drying. We advise ONE day break
every 1 meter of height seated.
The entire production process is artisanal, so there will never be a cobogó like the other, to guarantee a
perfect finish, specialized labor is required and that the execution is carried out without haste,
in this way you will have an incredible final result.
